I’ve attended many protests in my life, but only a few have turned into chaos. In Fort Lauderdale, a protest was held at Bubier Park, located at the corner of Andrews Avenue and Las Olas Boulevard—a very prominent street in the city’s downtown area, lined with high-end shops and situated at the base of a new high-rise condominium building. Bubier Park features an entertainment complex with an amphitheater and a large field for events. It is directly across from the NSU Art Museum.
Initially, the protest was planned for the Lauderhill area of Fort Lauderdale, but apparently, permits were denied, and this became the next available option.
