Photography is a passion because you can see a moment of real life captured for others to see what you see. From the hustle and bustle of city life where bikes and cars hurry to their destination to pedestrians wandering through the concrete maze of the towns of the world, this style for me remains the most fun.
With over 25 years of graphic design under my belt, I’ve loved photography longer. I loved using my old Canon AE-1 to take photos around the city and then scurry them back to the school’s darkroom for developing. But film was expensive to keep up with and with digital cameras, that obstacle is out of the way. Though film is invaluable as a medium the advent of DSLR cameras present the opportunity to capture moments to last a lifetime.
I currently shoot with a pair of Lumix G80 and G7 models without the tech lust of moving into the high end photo options, storing up a catalog of lenses and gear. Instead, the mission is to use this camera to expand the range and then as it hits its last legs, I’ll see what is on the market at the moment to become its replacement.
For post work, I use Lightroom and Photoshop.
