On one of my first moments in Kyiv, we passed through the underground passage of the mall called Globus and you couldn’t miss the sonorous voices of two sisters and the beautiful sounds of an instrument I had never encountered before but would be an integral part of our journey together. This is the starting point of our journey in the music of Ukraine and I can’t think of a better way to begin. The war would begin 21 days later and unknown experiences are yet to come.

Almost a year later I was blessed to see Svitlana and Olha again singing and playing and asked for an updated session on video for the record. Much had happened including getting featured in promo material for Urban Artist legend Bansky.
